About Our Leagues
Catholic Youth Organization partnered with Manhattan Youth Baseball to create this joint venture to provide baseball for the community.
CYO/MYB accommodates children 4 to 18 years old. There are three differently registered seasons, Fall, Winter, and Spring.
Fall and Spring games are played on Randall’s Island or in Central Park. Winter games are played in a state of the art Indoor Bubble, various gyms on the upper eastside and at our Baseball Academy located at 119 E 96th street.
The unique core to the League program is our dual teaching approach to the game in our pre-k to 4th grade divisions. Prior to each game, Staff Instructors will demonstrate a baseball fundamental drill. They will then observe the Parent Volunteer Managers and Coaches teach the drill to the players. Should a player do the drill incorrectly, the Instructor will show the parent what went wrong and how to correct, allowing both the Coach and the player to increase their baseball knowledge.
