Who We Are:

MISSION STATEMENT: To Teach Baseball in a fun and nurturing environment so that a player has a positive baseball experience and develops a love for the game in a safety first atmosphere.

CYO/Manhattan Youth Baseball is a 501(C)3 Non-Profit organization providing excellent baseball education since 1990 in New York City. Under the guidance of the founder and Executive Director, Bobby Hoffman, the best interests of the player learning good baseball are always put in front of just winning.

Players in need of tuition assistance are able to apply for our “Play for Grades ” program which monitors boys progress in school.

Good fundamental baseball will win games.

What We Do:

We are committed to the new way of teaching baseball that we started over 20 years ago. We teach baseball fundamentals, team work, sportsmanship, ethics and leadership through the life lessons and decision making process of baseball.

This is achieved in out duel teaching approach to the game.  Prior to every game there is a clinic for players 4-6 the clinic is 20-30 minutes for older players 1 hour.

In the clinic our Instructors former College and Pro players will demonstrate a drill, fundamental or play and strategy.  The Instructor will then watch the Parent vollunteer Manager and Coaches teach the drill to the team.  if a player does not execute correctly the Instructor will show the Parent what the player did wrong and how to correct.  This way the Parents learn to teach and the players lear to play.

The Instructors then become the game day umpire for the teams he had in clinic to follow thru on the lesson and other aspects of the game.

How We Do It:

The younger the player the more the game is modified so that a young player will not become frustrated but become more confident and build on his successes. As a player matures be becomes a knowledgeable and confident player.
