Ray Negron, Best Selling Children’s Author and Special Advisor to the New Yankees invited 17 children who participate in the MYB grades for play program and attend East Harlem’s PS 57, James Weldon Johnson Leadership Academy to a Special Day at Yankee Stadium.

The trip started like all trips to Yankee Stadium riding the #4 train.

The children posed with George Steinbrenner and Mickey Mouse’s statue and got to meet Sultan the Yankee Mascot in left field.  Ray took time to read to the players and get the message about how important it is to do well in school.   The highlight of the tour ended with a trip to Monument Park and a talk about committing to excellence.
